BLASTSHIELD™ is specifically designed as a blast hole barrier material for waterlogged, wet conditions, and for holes with fractures or voids. In its flat form, the material width is smaller than the borehole diameter and is expanded using large side gussets. This design reduces abrasion and prevents twisting during installation.
The inner lamination features a low coefficient of friction, helping to prevent choking and allowing initiation products to be installed more efficiently.

BLASTSHIELD™ is manufactured from high-tensile woven ripstop material with an internal laminate that prevents water ingress and protects augered explosives from degradation. The material is specifically engineered for use with the BLASTSHIELD sealing machine and is made from a sealable polymer, enabling a hermetic (airtight) closure.
BLASTSHIELD™ is laser-marked at one-meter intervals to indicate the remaining length on the roll, helping to reduce waste and improve installation accuracy.
The product contains antistatic additives and is designed in accordance with AS 2187.2:2008 – Explosives: Storage and Use; Part 2 – Use of Explosives.
BLASTSHIELD™ is compatible with all types of explosives.
