ROCKRIVET is a retention plug designed for use in both underground and open pit mining operations. It works by utilizing friction and the pressure generated by its plastic fins to securely grip the borehole wall. The fins are engineered to provide optimal holding capacity while minimizing leakage. The design also allows a clear passage for detonating cord or blasting lines to pass through, reducing the risk of line cut-offs or misfires during blasting operations.
Specification / Detail
ROCKRIVET is installed by pushing it into position using an ANFO hose or via the ROCKRIVET CONNECTOR, which can be attached to a charging hose or a 1¼-inch threaded rod adaptor. Once the desired depth is reached, the connector is released by twisting and pulling the rod. ROCKRIVET then locks in place and remains securely anchored inside the borehole.
It is available in two variants:
SEMI-RIGID – easier to install
RIGID – provides stronger gripping capacity for heavier loads
Material: Polypropylene
Available in borehole diameters ranging from 76 to 230 mm.
